The FenShare Business Innovation Competition (FSBICom) is an annually-held programme connecting innovative startups and SMEs with leading investors, business partners, and mentors in Asia.

FSBICom offers seminars (e.g., on topics such as "Opening a Business in China", "Protection of technological innovations in China", etc.), trainings, industry-specific B2B matchmaking sessions with selected local partners, media coverage, exposure at trade fairs (e.g., at the Smart China Expo) and conferences (e.g., the International Talent Exchange Conference).

Rebranding light

Until last year, our programme was known as the "Sino-Swiss Business Incubation Competition (SSBICom)". Our rebranding to "FenShare Business Innovation Competition" reflects the reality that our team is constantly on the lookout for the most innovative startups and SMEs, independent of a company's place of incorporation or the nationality of its team members.

By including "FenShare" in the name of the competition, we want to explicitly signal that participants will not only benefit from the SinoSwiss Technopark's support and valuable connections, but from the entire "FenShare family" with its dozens of subsidiaries, excellent network and reputation, as well its strong capabilities and years of experience in sales and manufacturing.

Finally, we decided to opt for the term "business innovation" instead of "business incubation" as our program does not only target startups and early-stage companies, but also mature SMEs.

In short: Our 'rebranding light' shall more accurately reflect what we have been doing since 2018: boosting companies' footprint in the East and the West.

The Smart China Expo based in Southwest China's megacity of Chongqing is one of the world's major tech exhibitions attracting Fortune 500 decision makers, leading academics, and business leaders from around the world, as well as hundreds of Chinese and international companies. Development plans, latest technology achievements, and hot topics are discussed on the application of frontier technology of intelligent science in the building of the smart city.

The 2022 Smart China Expo was held from 23 to 25 August, hosting a range of virtual and offline conferences, exhibitions, competitions, and forums with an exhibition area of 90,000 square meters, 557 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions. More than 1560 application scenarios were presented in over 30 fields, with extensive use of information technology such as naked eye 3D, Virtual Reality (VR), and Extended Reality (XR). The Expo gathered over 50 Fortune Global 500 and Fortune China 500 enterprises, including Huawei, Bosch, BOE, and Inspu, combined with the global release of Beitai Tianyuan numerical calculation software V2.0 and the launch of the Baidu autonomous driving commercial operation scheme for the first time.
